Catch the facts AI gets wrong about you

BotSay reads your own public pages, then checks every AI answer that names you against what they say. When an answer gets a fact wrong, such as your price or a feature, BotSay catches it, shows where the engine found it, and puts the fix on your list. There is nothing to set up.

How does BotSay check what AI says about you? #

BotSay reads the facts your pages state, such as your prices, plans, features, integrations, compliance and company details, and where you sell. Each week it compares the claims in every answer that names you with those facts.

• A claim that matches your pages counts as right, and one that differs counts as wrong.
• A claim your pages do not cover is counted as we could not check. It is never counted as right.
• A second AI model double-checks each wrong fact before it is shown.

BotSay compares answers with what your pages say. If a page is out of date, correct the fact in Setup, as described below.

Where do wrong facts show up? #

• This week, under What changed in the answers: a row such as AI got 2 facts wrong about you, with up to three red pills for the wrong facts and a count of the rest. See them opens the card below. The row shows only for a finished week.
• Evidence, on What they said: the Facts about you card.
• Work: wrong facts become items at the top of the list.
• Setup, You: Facts we read from your site, where you correct them.

What does the Facts about you card show? #

The card opens with a score, for example 82% of claims about you were right, with a bar of right and wrong claims. A line under it counts them, such as 41 right · 9 wrong · 6 we could not check, and gives the likely range of the score.

A score needs at least 10 claims that could be judged. Below that the card shows No score yet and says how many claims could be judged this week.

Under the score, Wrong facts lists each fact an answer got wrong, as a red pill beside what your site says. Four dots show the last four weeks, oldest first. Point at a dot to see whether the fact was wrong in answers that week, not said, or nothing checked. With no wrong facts, the card says No answer got a fact about you wrong in the last four weeks.

How do wrong facts become work? #

Wrong facts become items on Work, one for each page the answers leaned on, at the top of To do. The first one carries Start here. Several wrong facts from one page make one item, such as "Ask [the site] to fix 3 facts about you". Who owns the page decides the item:

• Ask them: the page belongs to someone else, such as a review site or a directory. The title names the site and the fact, for example "Ask [the site] to fix your price".
• Write a page: the page is a rival's, or your own. A rival's page gets "Write a page that answers what [the site] says about you". Your own page gets "Say plainly:" and the right fact, so the next answer has a clear source.

The line under the title says how often the fact appeared, for example Seen in 3 of the last 4 weeks we checked. Links open the source page, your own page and The answers.

How do I know a fix worked? #

Press I am on it, make the fix, then Mark published with the date. From the next reading, the item says one of:

• Still appearing., with how many answers still said it since that date.
• Gone so far., when none of the claims checked since then repeated it.
• No result yet. until the first reading after that date.

A wrong fact goes once its source is fixed. The result shows whether it has stopped appearing.

Can I correct the facts BotSay reads? #

Yes. Open Setup, You, and find Facts we read from your site. It shows how many facts were read, from how many pages, and when. Press See and correct.

• Correct: change a fact. Answers are checked against your words from the next reading. Use the page's words goes back to the page.
• Add fact: add a fact your pages do not say, such as something you do not offer, so an answer that says you do is caught. Pick its kind first: Pricing, Plans, Features, Compliance, Integrations, Company or Where you sell.
• Do not check (admins): answers are no longer checked against that fact from the next reading, and the score is worked out without it. Past weeks stay as they were. Check again turns it back on.

Why does Setup list pages we could not read? #

BotSay reads up to 25 of your pages a week, and only changed pages are read again. Pages we could not read names each page it could not use, with the reason:

• only shows its words with JavaScript, which we do not run
• could not be reached
• is not a web page we can read

A page that shows its text without JavaScript can be read at the next reading.
